Guggenheim Abu Dhabi tickets now available at Dh70
Bookings are now open ahead of the landmark cultural attraction's debut
ABU DHABI – Tickets for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi have gone on sale ahead of the museum's public opening on 11th December 2026, giving visitors the opportunity to book their visit to one of Saadiyat Cultural District's major new attractions.
General admission is priced at Dh70, while complimentary entry will be available for visitors under 18, students in the UAE, and citizens and residents aged 60 and above. Reduced admission rates will also be offered to eligible groups.
Tickets are available through the museum's official website, allowing visitors to plan their visit ahead of the December opening.
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi
The museum will bring together modern and contemporary art through its collection, exhibitions, commissioned works and public programmes. Its programme will span artistic practices from the 1960s to the present, presenting works across painting, sculpture, installation, photography, moving image and new media.
Rather than arranging its collection strictly by chronology or geography, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will explore connections between artists, cultures, ideas and artistic movements. The approach is intended to offer visitors different ways of engaging with modern and contemporary art.
The museum is being developed through a collaboration between the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
Gehry design
Designed by the late Frank Gehry, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi's architecture is an integral part of the visitor experience.
Located on Saadiyat Island, the museum features 28 interior galleries connected by a central atrium, alongside extensive outdoor exhibition spaces. Ten sculptural cones form a defining feature of the building, creating distinctive spaces around the galleries and exhibition areas.
The museum has 11,600 square metres of interior gallery space, while its outdoor exhibition areas cover 23,000 square metres across the cones and terraces.
The building has been designed to accommodate a wide variety of artistic formats and experiences, with interconnected spaces allowing visitors to explore exhibitions through different themes and perspectives.
The opening of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will add another major cultural institution to Saadiyat Cultural District, which is already home to several prominent museums and arts destinations.
